I think I would be thought of as a colourist; ideas tend to come to me in an intense palette of colour opposites and deep blacks, however once in a while I have gentler ideas which don’t rely on colour for their impact. Without colour as the driving dynamic, space to explore texture and a softer range of tones opens up. This is a small selection of my favourite works which aren’t made from a colourist’s perspective.
