In recent years I have developed interests in Ogham - the Celtic Tree alphabet and calendar which is based on 13 lunar months and also the Pagan Wheel of the Year; an annual cycle of festivals observing the chief solar events and cycles of the seasons. I’m drawn to thought processes which observe these cycles and bring us into line with the natural world and the ancient rhythms we find there. In 2022 I was commissioned to illustrate a book of forgeable Scottish plants and I learned more about the wealth of healing properties we can find around us in the green world. The Enchanted Forest section is a homage to that world and its magical properties.
