When I review my life I realise that I have always felt best in places which were not built up or heavily concreted; places where people live more in harmony with nature, like my time spent in The Gambia and all the years visiting my mother’s house in Whiting Bay in Arran. Currently Earth’s natural resources are severely depleted with ecological processes well out of balance and our own relationship to nature feels far too remote.  It seems more important than ever to me to re-establish our connection to nature and to try to live in balance with it again.
