Ancient Mariners navigated by the stars and the luminaries while cultures of antiquity have used the heavens for orientation, measuring time, and as inspiration for all their mythology and Godheads. Dust from the fusion of merging neutron stars created the heavier elements and became rocky planets like earth. Long before we arrived, nature created the perfect place for us. For billions of years, it perfected what worked and eliminated what did not. We are carbon based life forms made of the stars and we share our breath with the trees, yet we seem to have lost the ability to believe in miracles when they are all around us.
